Ghost Recon: Wildlands

There is something magical about gun slinging action in the wild open back of the wild-west. Developed and published Ubisoft comes another Tom Clancy’s game, titled Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Released on March 7, Wildlands is available for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC. Wildlands is an open world tactical shooter and it’s the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise. Wildlands is also the first title in the franchise that has an open environment. In terms of the story the game takes place in Bolivia during July 2019, where the place is overrun by a Mexican drug cartel. In order to stop him, a Ghost team consisting of Ghost Leader ‘Nomad’, Tactical Wild ReconGunner ‘Midas’, Engineer ‘Holt’ and  Sniper ‘Weaver’ is prepared. Unlike the some of the older Wildlands doesn’t have a wide range of futuristic weapons or a futuristic theme but instead excels at being like the first title bringing back a sense of nostalgia to make the feel of the game that much more entertaining. In the graphics department, the game is on par with most recent titles with amazing textures and breathtaking environment; the character design and detailing are also very well done. In the gameplay department is where the game excels and shows it true colours. Like the previous Ghost Recon titles you fight tactically in a group of 4, normally with you in control of a character and the AI in control of the other 3. The game also gives you to a wide array of vehicles and weapons, but even so after a certain point, the game can begin to feel monotonous and boring. This is where the co-op option comes in. It brings a sense of variety into the mix and also brings in a new challenge as well. In one place where you normally had the AI to help you whenever the need, here you have to cooperate with your friends and hope that they help you fight your way. The co-op mode also allows you to share your missions and locations to your friends who haven’t visited those locations. Nonetheless, the game is a an exceptionally well made game and is very optimized, as during my time of going through the game I hardly ever felt a stutter or any signs of lag. I highly recommend people to try out the game.
